Nancy (Estep) Casey

Nancy “Estep” Casey, 81, of Vulcan, WV.  passed away on Friday, February 7, 2019, at her residence.  She was born on December 24, 1938 in Phelps, KY.  to the late Leonard & Sarah Estep.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ermal Casey; one son: Randall Casey; one brother: Frank Estep, and two sisters: Irene Estep and Polly Prater.

Nancy was a certified nursing assistant who worked at the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Facility in Phelps, KY.  She was of the Baptist faith, and in her spare time she enjoyed sitting out in the sun.  She absolutely loved to garden and plant roses.  If anyone knew her, then they knew what an excellent cook she was.

Those left to honor her memory include two daughters: Ramona (Edward Estep) Casey of Vulcan, WV & Valerie Ann Casey of Pikeville, KY; one brother: J.B. Estep Freemont of Ohio; two sisters: Loretta Estep of Jamboree, KY & Helen Scarberry of Flinton, MI; two grandchildren: Jamie Lynn (James Ryan Mouser) Casey, and Brandi Leann (Donnie) Collie; five great grandchildren: Austin Dwayne New, Anna Nichole New, Aaliyah Michele Collie, Andrew Michael Collie, and Tionna Jaelynn Collie.

In accordance to Nancy’s wishes, a private gathering for the family will take place on 12:00 Noon Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with burial to immediatly follow next to her son Randall, whom she loved dearly, in the Estep & Blankenship Cemetery, Phelps, KY with Reverend Marvin Casey conducting the committal.
