Nathan Blankenship

Nathan Blankenship, 47, of Freeburn, Kentucky was born June 7th, 1974.  He passed away September 29th, 2021, at Tug Valley ARH Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel & Erma (Mounts)Blankenship; his brother, Richard (Richie) Blankenship, and his sister; Merline Blankenship.

Nathan was a carpenter; he had a special love for his kids and family. He enjoyed attending chicken fights, horseshows, four-wheeling, cooking, gardening, and just loved being outside in nature.

He leaves behind his loved ones, a wife, Denisa Blankenship of Freeburn, KY, two brothers; Rick (Brenda) Blankenship of Chattaroy, WV & Ricky (Peewee) Candace Blankenship of Freeburn, KY, two sisters; Dreama (Dennis) Dotson of Majestic, KY, & Della (Archie) Dotson of Freeburn, KY,  four sons; Michael Dwayne Blankenship, Nick New , Tiny (Sunshine) New and Bobby (Seth) New of Matewan, WV, one daughter; Natessa Blankenship of Blackberry, KY, and nine grandchildren.  Special friends include; Big Mike New, Mickey Adkins, Jimmy Gooslin, Willis Dotson, Dennis Dotson, Mike Estep, TC Eldridge, Mike Dingess, & Bobby Sherpinskas.

Visitation will begin Sunday October 3, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Freeburn, KY. There will also be visitation on Monday night at 6:00 PM with special services at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Charles Meeks officiating the services. Interment will be at the Family Cemetery at Barn Hollow in Freeburn, Ky.
