Reba W. (Whitt) Lester

Reba “Whitt” Lester, 54, of Phelps, KY, departed this life Sunday July 4, 2021, at the University of Louisville Hospital.  She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.  Reba enjoyed riding four-wheelers in the mountains and loved spending time with her family and loved her grandson.

Born February 20, 1967 in Pikeville, KY, she was a daughter of the late William Archie Whitt and Loraine Zankovitch Whitt.  Reba was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kayla Marie Dotson, and brothers William Crawford Whitt and Virgil Whitt.

She leaves to mourn her passing and honor her memory, companion Benny Dotson of Matewan, W.V., daughter Tasha LeAnn Dotson (Jerry Layne) and grandson Connor “Homer” Dotson of Phelps.  She is also survived by three sisters Rosie Whitt (Orville Jackson), Freda Mae Whitt, and Teresa Ann Whitt all of Phelps, Ky.  She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the Jones & West Funeral Home at Phelps, KY with Reverend Harold Layne officiating.

Burial will follow in the Whitt Family Cemetery, Beech Creek, Phelps, KY.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home with special services Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.
