Robert Campbell Jr. 89, resident of Good Shepherd Health and Rehabilitation Center passed away October 2nd, 2023.
He was born August 2nd, 1934, in Lobata, WV, a son of the late Robert Lee and Oma (Ferrell) Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his brothers: Billy Campbell, and Jesse Campbell, sisters Rebecca Yates, Bertha Campbell, and Mary Hurley.
Robert was a coal miner in his previous years. He also worked in construction, and carpentry. He was a member of Gooslin Bottom Pentecostal Church. Robert enjoyed listening to happy music and singing.
Those remaining to mourn the loss of Robert include his daughter, Penny Campbell, grandchildren Matthew Casey, and Bree Campbell; great-grandson Johnathan Thacker; great-granddaughter Amelia Casey; and a special friend, Shane Dotson of Majestic, KY.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5th, 2023, at the Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, Kentucky with special services beginning at 7:00 P.M. with Pastors Benny Freeman & Odis Blankenship officiating.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 6th, 2023, at the chapel.
Interment will conclude at Hurley Cemetery in Hurricane at Stopover, Kentucky.
