Robert Scott Casey age 68 of Phelps, Ky. departed this life on February 20, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born August 5, 1954, at Phelps, a son of the late Man Casey and Rittie Casey. Besides his parents he is also preceded by one grandson Seldon Lee Casey Jr. sisters Ruby and Laura Wolford brothers John and Willard Casey.
He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of 46 years Princie Casey, daughter Rittie Jean Casey, son Seldon Lee Casey (Kathy), grandson Brandon (Toisha) Casey, and Josh, and granddaughters, Tabby, Mella, Ally, Ona, Casey and step grandson Jayden Bentley. Great grandchildren Roberta and Emanuel Casey. Brother Carl (Betty) Casey. He also leaves a host of special family, friends’ nieces and nephews.
Rob loved hunting and fishing, he enjoyed digging ginseng, always enjoyed his job as a coal miner. But the thing he loved most was spending time with his family.
The family will began receiving friends at the First Baptist Church of Phelps on Saturday February 25, 2023. There will be services on Sunday February 26, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday February 27 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Hawkins officiating the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jones & West Funeral Home at Phelps.
Interment will be at the Robert Scott Casey Cemetery, Phillips Branch at Phelps, Ky.
