Robert " Bobby" Lester

Robert Emmitt “Bobby” Lester of Phelps, KY departed this life Tuesday, July 21,2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY. He was born February 16, 1958 at Phelps, KY the son of, the late Roland and Pricey “Wolford” Lester.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Lee Stump. He was 62 years old.

Bobby was a high school graduate who also completed some vocational training as well. He was formerly a maintenance man having worked for the nursing home of Phelps, KY. Bobby loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and owned two of them.  He enjoyed socializing with his friends. He was always willing to help any family who came to him for money, or anything else they needed. He believed in God and prayer and was of the Protestant faith.

Those remaining to honor his loving memory include a daughter: Becki Wells (Steven Caudill) of Paintsville, KY two brothers: Timothy (Norma) Lester of Mc Andrews, KY and Onnie Ray Lester of Phelps, KY, three sisters: Sharon Casey of West Liberty, KY, Jackie (Tim) Young and Hilda Francis (Rick) both of Stopover, KY, two grandchildren: Layla Ermac and Beau Caudill both of Paintsville, KY. He is also survived by a host of family, friends, special friends in the deaf community and his beloved dog Harley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25,2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY with the Reverend Kelley Baldridge officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery at Mount Wolford RD of Phelps, KY

Visitation will begin Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. for family and close friends then at 7:00 P.M. for the public.
