It is with a sorrowful heart that we announce the passing of Ruby Jean Daniels, age 70, resident of Majestic, Kentucky, while an inpatient at Pikeville Medical Center.
Ruby was born in Majestic, Kentucky, on February 28th, 1954, a loving daughter of the late Hollie & Molly “Smith” Blankenship.
In addition to Ruby’s parents, she was also preceded by her cherished husband, Raymond Harmon Daniels, and one brother, James Perry Blankenship.
Ruby enjoyed attending Stopover Church of God when her health allowed. She was a proud homemaker and took pride in keeping a clean house. Ruby enjoyed shopping and the company of her cat, Jingle Bells.
Those surviving to honor the memory of Ruby include her companion, Terry Compton of Majestic, KY; her devoted children, Mikey Daniels ( Michelle) of Phelps, KY, Diane Potter of Majestic, KY; one brother, Donald Blankenship of Majestic, KY; and two sisters, Alice Dotson (Donnie) of Majestic, KY, and Joy Ann Dotson of Winchester, KY.
Ruby was the proud grandmother to Michael Smith (Megan Angell) of Frankfort, KY, and Faith Potter (Konnor Morrison) of Majestic, KY.
Ruby cherished every moment spent with her family, creating memories that her family will hold dear forever. Her devoted love and laughter will live on in the hearts of everyone who treasured her.
The family welcomes friends for visitation on February 25th, 2025 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at Stopover Church of God with special services at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Odis Blankenship officiating.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. February 26th, 2025 at the church with Pastor Harold Layne officiating.
Interment will follow in the Buddy Mounts Cemetery at Majestic, Kentucky with friends and family serving as Pallbearers.
