Shannon Pruitt, 54 born September 10th, 1969. Shannon had a heart like no other. It beamed with love, hope, and joy but most important faith. There never came a day she didn’t thank God for her many blessings and even in the worst circumstances she would always say, “It could always be worse; Praise God for what you do have.”
Shannon was a lifelong resident of Phelps, KY. She was married to the love of her life Donald for 32 years and devoted herself to him as a wife and homemaker. If you asked her greatest accomplishment, she would say being a mother to her daughter, Kourtney. She beamed with joy and pride for her and her special niece who she claimed as a daughter, Kandi. They were the apple of her eye until her grandbabies came into the picture. Rylee, Cooper, Seth, Brayden, Sutton, Kori, and Madison were her world and the real path to her heart. She lovingly called Rylee her sun and sunshine and Cooper her moon and moonshine. She loved Rylee’s beaming smile and spunk, and that Cooper was a night owl like her. All her babies loved nanny night. She was a nanny, nana, mom, and granny to a slew of other nieces, nephews, and special babies, Reena, Brandon, Joseph, Johnathan, Kate, Zack, Ashley, Kaylee, Karabella, Sadie, Chris, Paislee, Peyton, Jhett, and Jerrica.
Before Shannon was a nanny, she was the baby girl of her family and never let anyone forget it, especially her baby brother, Bo.
Shannon will be loved and missed dearly by her family, Donald, Matt (Paula), her “little mommy” Lisa (Barry), and Shaunna. Her mother, Janice and father, Stearl are surely greeting her with open arms at Heavens gate. Also, preceding her in death are her other siblings, Gail, Mike, Teena, and nephew, Josh.
If there was ever a way to put who Shannon was into words, it would be “She loved with all of her heart. She loved everyone she believed in. She loved, oh she loved.”
