Shawn Lee Smith

We regretfully announce the passing of Shawn Lee Smith, age 39, resident of Pikeville, Kentucky, passing on April 28th, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  

Shawn was born May 19th, 1985, in Pikeville, Kentucky, a loving son of the late Harold & Elaine (Wolford) Smith.  

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his brother, Bruce Smith.

Shawn was employed at Adams Construction.  He was passionate about his work and well known for being one of the best in the area with drywall work.  In his spare time, he enjoyed basketball, baseball, collecting guns, and listening to music.  Shawn adored the company of his family, and he was of the Pentecostal faith.  

Those remaining to honor the memory of Shawn include his wife, Trina Smith of Pikeville, KY; his cherished son, Connor Smith of Pikeville, KY; stepdaughter, Julia (Farley) Lee of Kimper, KY; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Jasmine, and Kristie Smith.

Shawn was the papaw to Dyson, Aaliayh, Christian, Farrah and Faylan.  He also leaves behind his Adams Construction work family Davin Adams, Kristy, Tina, Danny, Rossie, Dennis and Garnett.

Shawn will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at the Gooslin Bottom Pentecostal Church located at 41690 State Highway 194 East and special services will start at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor’s Benny Freeman and Steve Asbury officiating.  

Cremation will follow the service.
