Shirley Ann Blankenship

Shirley Ann Blankenship, age 73, of Edgarton, WV, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on July 18th, 2024.  Shirley was born on August 23rd, 1950, a cherished daughter of the late Roscoe & Amanda (Church) Bentley. 

In addition to Shirley’s parents, she was also preceded by her beloved husband, Ben Blankenship, one daughter, Elsie Amanda Hensley, three brothers, Frank, Scott, & Lewis Bentley, and two sisters, Margaret Harrelson, and Helen Caudill.

Shirley was a longtime member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church.  Serving the Lord and being involved with her church was her greatest passion.  Shirley always taught her children about the Lord and was a remarkable mother.  She took great pride in being a proud homemaker and devoting her life to her family.  In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed working puzzles.

Those surviving Shirley includes her daughter, Chestine Gooslin of Edgarton, WV; a sister, Barbara Warrix of Matewan, WV;  two brothers, Jerry Bentley, and Woodrow Bentley; her treasured grandchildren, Michael (Jaysonna) Hensley, Sarah Gooslin, Savannah Gooslin, and Skyla Gooslin; one great-granddaughter, Elsia Belle Hensley.

Shirley also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Cremation has been chosen and there are no services scheduled at this time.
