Susan Marie Hurley

Susan Marie Hurley 56, of Florence, KY, and a former resident of Phelps, KY, passed away May 5th, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Florence, KY.  She was born in Williamson, WV, on September 28th, 1967, a loving daughter of the late Frank & Joann “Casey” Hurley.  In addition to her parents, Susan was also preceded by her grandmother who helped raise her, Dora Daugherty, and two brothers, Boyd Hurley, and Runthole.

Susan was of the Christian faith and a proud homemaker with a wonderful personality.  In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing, painting, and sewing.  She enjoyed shopping, especially on Temu, and she loved spending time with her children and grandbabies.

Those remaining to honor Susan’s memory include her children, Corrie Hurley of Phelps, KY, Brandon Hurley, Joey (Savannah) Perry both of Dry Ridge, KY, Randy (Jessica) Perry of Texas, Johnathan Hurley of Florence, KY, Roseanna (Jack) Hurley of Stopover, KY, and Miranda (Ryan) Blankenship of Phelps, KY; brothers, Clayton Pendergrass (Nicca) of Dry Ridge, KY, Raymond Hurley of Stopover, KY, Frank Hurley of OH, Frankie Hurley, and Jessie Hurley; a sister, Debbie Hurley of Seymour, TN; 6 special sisters, Tina Stanton, Judy Walls, Rhonda Ritchie, Lisa Holland, Trish Blankenship, and Sylvia Slone; 14 grandchildren, Jayden Hurley, Jasmine Hurley, Peyton Hurley, Zayden Hurley, Bentley Ferrell, April Hurley, Jackson Hurley, Brayden Perry, Caleb Perry, Carter Perry, Rosie Perry, Zoey Perry, Kinzlee Perry, and Maisley Blankenship. 

Susan also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to welcome friends Thursday, May 9th, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. for visitation and Friday night with special services at 7:00 P.M. at Peter Creek Presbyterian Church in Phelps, Kentucky.     

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at the church with pastor Kelly Baldridge officiating. 

Interment will conclude in Whispering Hills Cemetery at Stopover, KY.
