Tommy Lee Skeens of Fedscreek, KY passed away Sunday June 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 11,1953 in Grundy, VA the son of the late Elmer and Mae "Sis" (Sullivan)Skeens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters. He was 66 years old.
Tommy was a loving husband and father who loved his family and enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Back in his earlier days he was a hunter and fisherman. Tommy was a disabled coal miner, and was a member of the Jesus Tabernacle Church of Fedscreek, KY.
Survivors who remain to honor his memory include his loving wife of 43 years Carol “Runyon” Skeens, two daughters: Tomi Webb and CaSandra (Dallas) Smith both Fedscreek, KY, a brother: Charles Skeens, a special brother and sister in law: James & Patty Stanley, two sisters: Sharon Coleman and Elsie Lanoue, five grandchildren: Kyle Thomas Webb, Tommy Dallas Cole Smith, Johnathon Smith, Whitney Smith and Brittany Smith; special niece, Angie Gaines. He is also survived by a host of other family, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY, with the Reverend Hobert McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery at Motley Fork of Fedscreek, KY.
Visitation will be in the chapel Wednesday and Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with special services Thursday night at 7:00 P.M.
