Uncle Bunk was such a precious part of our family and our trips home to Matewan. We will forever remember fondly how he cared for Nannie Vella over the years. A dedicated friend and brother, he made sure she was safe, secure and taken care of simply because she'd cared for him.
When we visited with our baby daughter, Uncle Bunk would come over after breakfast for a snack and play with her on the floor. He loved children and nature and was so giving of his heart and soul. He made an impression on us that we will carry the rest of our lives.
He loved his family and spoke of his children often. He was so proud of them. You were very loved and will be missed, Uncle Bunk.

Dad and Bunk worked together at Akers Supply, seemed like forever. Good man! He will be sorely missed by family and friends.

My condolences to the family. He was a great guy and use to come listen to me play music anytime he thought I was playing and he could. He will be sadly missed and a great light as been taken from this world.
