Just a quick story about a person who has played an important role in my life, not only by providing me with his daughter, but for taking me into his home as if it were my own so many years ago, always helping every one of his children and grandchildren in every way possible, whether it be bouncing them on his knee, walking them around the house in his arms as babies to comfort them or taking them to elementary school right down the street here or high school across the way, forever encouraging them if it had to get done, to get it done without haste. Running out at all hours of the night without fail to get something to eat at multiple places or picking up groceries. Always asked about how other people who came into contact with him were doing, and always, always had a meal to offer everyone! He was one of a kind with his generosity, humor, kindness and caring, as well as his consideration for humankind and he will be missed dearly. I am thankful to have had such a man for a father in law and I could not be more grateful for our time together on this earth. A true friend who would have done anything in the world for me. RIP Carl Jay Chapman, you will be sorely missed!
