Jonathan Charles Koboski, 31, of Stopover, KY, passed away on Friday April 17, 2015 at Phelps, KY.

He was born May 3, 1983 in Pikevile, KY, the son of John Charles and Janice (Blankenship) Koboski, of Stopover, KY.

He was preceded in death by his brother: John Mark Koboski; paternal grandparents: Charles and Katherine Koboski and maternal grandparents: Woodrow and Flossie Blankenship.

Jonathan was a member of the Stopover Church of God and a 2001 graduate of Phelps High School.  He went on to Morehead State University where he had a minor in Information Systems and earned a Bachelor of Business degree.  He was an honorary member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon-Kentucky Gamma Chapter.  He was very gifted in his computer expertise and his goal was to become the founder of K-TEK “Where Knowledge meets Technology”.  Johnathan’s hobbies included hunting, cooking and gardening.  He was a collector of recipes.  He loved animals and flowers, especially roses, and was a ‘people person’ who would do anything for anybody.  

In addition to his mother & father, those left to mourn his passing include: special aunts; Maxine (Anthony) Blankenship of Edgarton, WV, Beneva Mullins of Bartley, WV; special uncle: Brooks (Ethel) Koboski of Bartley, WV; special niece: Deborah (John) Ray of TN along with nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Stopover Church of God with Revs: Harold Layne, Larry Rife and L.C. Hunt officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodrow Blankenship Cemetery in Stopover, KY.

Pallbearers: Brandon Mayhorn, Justin Mayhorn, Jarius and Jordon Hall, J.D. Hurley.

Honorary pallbearers: Anthony Blankenship, Tony Blankenship, LC Hunt, Larry Rife, Melvin Ferrell and Will Blankenship.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the church with services nightly at 7:30 P.M.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY.
