Maggie Marie Hensley, 85, of Hatfield, KY, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at her home.
She was born January 12, 1930 in Hardy, KY, to the late Admiral Dewey Thompson and Augusta Thompson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Maggie was of the Christian faith, being a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ. She had a passion for bass fishing and gardening and loved to go to yard sales. Maggie enjoyed life and being with her family.
Survivors include her daughter: Linda Howell (Trampes) of Hatfield, KY; one sister: Mable Smith of London, KY; four special nephews: Jackie Lee Coleman (Paulette) of Huddy, KY, Billy Roy Coleman (Greta) Of Huddy, KY, Hollis Coleman (Becky) of Stony Ridge OH, and Lucion Coleman (Jackie) of Tenneesee; three grandchildren: Richard Howell (Kimmy), Victoria Howell, and Ashley Howell all of Hatfield, KY; and one great-grandchild: Christian James Jackson Howell of Hatfield, KY.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Sidney Missionary Baptist Church with Rev Bob Werntz and Sidney Missionary Baptist ministers officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Huddy, KY.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday & Sunday at the church with special services Sunday at 6:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family or the charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY.
