My heart goes out to your family. I had only met Ronnie a few times. I work for Cash Express and I delivered cups for different events for the Fire Dept, also brought cakes I to the dept each year in honor of 9/11. Ronnie showed me the Mountain Rescue Unit. He was so proud of that and the white trailer that had the 9/11 memorial on it. He also showed me the red blanket like thing that I think his daughter or granddaughter had made that was hanging in the front. He was so proud of it he said when he passed he wanted it put over him. He was a great man. He will be missed by his family, friends, fire dept family and the community.

I am heartbroken over Ronnie's passing. Getting to know him his wife and granddaughter was a blessing to me. He was a very humble little man that I so very much admired. All the family are in my prayers!!!!!

I worked in the Peter Creek area on and off for about 10 years. Ronnie was always willing to help whether it was looking for someone, directing traffic around a wreck, or making fresh coffee when I stopped by. He was a professional and truly loved serving his community. Rest in Peace Sir, you've earned your heavenly rewards.

Ronnie was a wonderful friend. I first met him in 1977, while employed at the Leslie Mine. He was the divisional safety director then. Later, I worked with him at Chisholm for many years. In all that time, I found him dedicated to the employees that he worked with. He was fair and deliberate in all his work. His community service goes beyond description. I have lost a great friend and I am so saddened for his family and for the Phelps community.
