Alma (Hamilton) Stell

Alma “Hamilton” Stell, 79, of Peter Fork Road, McCarr, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her residence. Born May 28, 1937 in Majestic, KY, she was a daughter of the late Charlie & Callie “Lell” Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Stell Sr.; one daughter: Ida Kay Stell; brothers: Ira & Hayes Hamilton; sisters: Beatrice Kolff, Naomi Mounts, Rachel Johnson, and two infant siblings.

Alma was a homemaker and a member of the Barrenshe Church of God, Freeburn, KY. She enjoyed attending church and did so as long as her failing health would allow. She loved watching the WLJC program of Beattyville, KY every night. Alma loved her grandchildren and always had a smile for everyone. She will be truly missed by her family and those who loved her.

Survivors include her son: Frank Stell Jr. of McCarr, KY; two daughters: Delores & Cindy Stell of Hammond, IN; one sister: Victoria Hicks of Phelps, KY; six grandchildren: Joey, Adam, Brandon, Amber, Austin, & Anthony; four great grandchildren: Jacob, Evan, Jonathan, & A.J.; and a host of extended family & friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Barrenshe Church of God with Reverends Bobbly Dale Wolford and Doug Maynard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Buddy Mounts Cemetery, Majestic, KY.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Monday at the church with special services at 7:00 P.M.
