Glada "Ada" Wolford

Glada “Ada” Wolford, 74, of Phelps, KY, formerly of Stopover, KY, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, KY.  She was born March 29, 1940 in Pike County, KY, a daughter of the late Johnny & Pricy Jane “Lester” Blankenship.
   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Freddie Wolford; second husband: Freddie Wolford; one son: Danny Ray Wolford and one brother: Boone Blankenship.
   Ada was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith. 
Survivors include her sons: Lloyd (Sandy) Wolford of Feds Creek, KY, Larry (Patty) Wolford of Stopover, KY; grandson she raised: Ray Wolford of Stopover; five daughters: Macie Blankenship, Norma Jean (Erlin) Justice, Dianne (Raymond) Hurley, Ellen Marie (Robert) Combs, Dora Mae (Frank) Blankenship, all of Stopover, KY; one brother: Jessie Blankenship of Stopover; special friends: Debbie Wolford & Kathy McCoy Stump, both of Phelps; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews. 
   Ada is also survived by the staff of the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center who she loved very much.  The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the love & excellent care they gave Ada while she was there. 
   Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverends Ed Varney & Hobart McCoy officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Wolford Family Cemetery at Stopover.  
   Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home with services nightly at 7:00 P.M.
